The Ayers Foundation Scholars Program partnered with UT Martin at Parsons to host the first annual Ayers Foundation Scholars College Summit on Tuesday October 20, 2009. The College Summit hosted eleven institutions of higher education to present and provide information for the local area high school seniors that participate in The Ayers Foundation Scholars Program. Ayers Scholars from Scotts Hill, Riverside and Perry County rotated through every seminar to gather information about the programs offered at each institution.
The institutions in attendance were Union University, UT Martin, Freed-Hardeman University, Middle Tennessee State University, Bethel University, University of Memphis, Belmont University, Columbia State Community College, Jackson State Community College, Nashville State Community College and Tennessee Technology Center at Crump.
